Colleen S. Koch DVM, DACVB, is a veterinarian board certified in veterinary behavior. She practices clinical behavior medicine at Lincoln Land Animal Clinic, Ltd in Jacksonville, Il. She wrote the feature article in Veterinary Medicine “A low-stress handling algorithm: Key to happier visits and healthier pets” and co-authored a chapter in the “Animal Behavior for Shelter Veterinarians and Staff.” She serves on the Fear Free® task force promoting the education of veterinary professionals to reduce fear in their patients. In addition, she works as a collaborator with VIN and Cattle Dog Publications/ Low Stress Handling to continue the progression of animal behavior education for veterinary personnel, pet owners, and any individual who works with animals. She has given lectures and workshops nationally and internationally.
