John Daugherty, DVM

Dr. Daugherty graduated from The Ohio State University in 1979 with a Bachelor's degree in Zoology. He went on the graduate from the Ohio State School of Veterinary Medicine in 1984. Dr. Daugherty is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), The American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP) and The Ohio Veterinary Medical Association (OVMA).

Dr. Daugherty is a chairman of the OVMA Peer Review Committee which reviews cases submitted by clients who have a dispute with their veterinarian, investigates the complaints and attempts to resolve the disputes to the satisfaction of all parties concerned. He is also on the Board of Directors with the Veterinary Information Network (VIN). This is an online community, information source and continuing education service for veterinarians. There are more than 60,000 international subscribers. He has been a member of VIN since 1994 and has been on the Board of Directors for over 10 years.

Dr. Daugherty is a VIN Representative, which is a group of veterinarians who volunteer to help new VIN subscribers learn to use the service to their benefit. He is also an Associate Editor of Diagnostic Imaging with VIN. He is part of a small group of people who help interpret radiographs (X-rays) and ultrasound images for the subscribers of VIN in order to assist them in managing their patients.
He also serves in an advisory role for the VIN Foundation (VINFoundation.org) which is a non-profit organization that provides support for veterinary students and practicing veterinarians in a variety of ways.

In his spare time, he enjoys reading, traveling and riding his motorcycle. He loves wine and really enjoys cooking. He also spends a lot of time with his Puggles, Tonka and Puggle!
