disease, nodules and nasal dermatoses are some of the topics featured in a new
dermatology conference titled "A Look at
Skin Disease Based on Clinical
Lesions/Cutaneous Reaction Patters in the Dog and Cat."
The conference, scheduled Sept. 7,
at Louisiana State University's (LSU) veterinary school, is sponsored by
Vetoquinol USA Inc., Virbac Corp., D.V.M. Pharmaceuticals (IVX Animal Health),
Bayer Animal Health and Sogeval.
Instructors include Southeast Veterinary Specialists'
dermatology resident Dr. Kristen Fulham and staff dermatologist Dr. Stephen
Lemarie, LSU professor Dr. Sandra R. Merchant,
LSU dermatology resident Dr.
Laura K. Sickafoose, LSU assistant professor Dr. Tara S. Snook
and Dr. Rebekah Westermeyer, LSU dermatology resident.
The course offers eight hours of
continuing education credits. Certification forms will be provided for
participants. Registration is $150 if postmarked on or before Aug. 17, and $175
after that date. The fee includes seminar materials, break refreshments and a
catered lunch.
