Course Open: January 13-December 31, 2022
Total CE Credit: 2
RACE Category: 2 hours Medical Skip to Enrollment Course Information:
This class is designed to be a “crash course” of everything hyperthyroid in the cat – whether it is making the (sometimes surprisingly challenging!) diagnosis, choosing amongst the therapeutic options, managing co-morbidities, or stabilizing and monitoring that difficult patient – this course is an A to Z buffet of just about everything you might encounter in routine practice (and maybe even in referral practice!). To earn a certificate of completion the participant must complete all learning modules and score 80% or better on the end-of-course test. Completion of the course will take a minimum of 137 minutes. Participants must complete the participation requirements by December 31, 2022 to be eligible for a certificate. To learn more about the requirements for earning a non-interactive CE certificate, please refer to Non-Interactive CE Certificate Requirements. Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of the course, the participant should be able to
- recognize clinical signs of both typical and atypical hyperthyroid cats.
- evaluate the treatment options – when one fails, have a plan B ready!
- recognize which co-morbid conditions are most common, and what to do about them.
- manage that challenging patient.
- go back a few steps when the kitty doesn’t respond as planned!
