Level and Prerequisites:
This
advanced course will be open to veterinarians
actively interested in nutrition topics for cancer, renal, urinary and
gastrointestinal diseases.

Course Description:
In this course we will review the aspects of the disease process that
can be affected through dietary changes and will cover goals
for nutritional modification. We will also provide key nutritional
factors, goals for feeding management, and cover selecting
a diet and feeding plan for these patients.
This course consists of two (2) 2-hour Real Time Sessions, supplemental library materials,
interactive message board discussions, and a mandatory end-of-course test.
Successful completion (scoring 80% or better) on the end-of-course test is required
to earn a certificate of completion for the course.

Upon completion of this course, the participant should be able to

in the course library prior to each Real Time Session.
Required Textbook(s): There is no required textbook for this course.
About the Instructors:
Catherine Lenox graduated from veterinary school at the University
of Missouri in 2007. She then went on to complete a small animal medicine
and surgery internship at Colorado State University. After a year in
emergency practice in St. Louis, MO, she went on to complete a small
animal nutrition residency at the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of
Veterinary Medicine. She was board-certified by the American College of
Veterinary Nutrition in 2011. She owns a consulting business, Lenox Veterinary
Nutrition Consulting, PLLC and does clinical consulting with veterinarians
across the world. She is also affiliated with Gulf Coast Veterinary
Specialists in Houston, TX.
